Aperture Machined Parts
For those who only want the two machined parts that are used to build the aperture.
This item consists of the "AS MACHINED" LB2014-3 Aperature Body, and the LB2014-5 Aperture Housing.
There is a 5/16 (0.3125) inch machining allowance on the top solid cylinder of the aperture body. This area can be modified to form a decorative final on the whistle, or removed entirely for space considerations. A recommended thickness of at least 1/16 (0.0625) inch must be maintained between the aperture housing and the end of the aperture body along the 1/4 inch diameter of the aperture body for sealing purposes.
Description
- LB2014-3 Aperture Body.
The center hole for the support rod is drilled to 0.0465 inch for a #20 (0.045 inch) wire support.
- LB2014-5 Aperture Housing.
WITHOUT any cross holes, it looks like a plain cylinder.
One inside edge is sharper compared to the other end. The sharper end is the aperture ring gap end.
