Straight Bell Whistle Driver LB-1018
The straight bell whistle driver (described as LB-1018 in the SITG articles) is the standard whistle driver assembly that is used in many installations where the resonator is disguised as a tank under a running board, or the resonator is hidden under the engine. When coupled with a resonator of the proper design, it forms a resonator whistle.
The bell tube is supplied as 1.6 inches long or approximately 1 19/32 finished length from mouth opening to end. You can cut the tube length down to a suggested minimum length of 1/2 (0.5) inch if required. Actual tube length that you will use is totally dependent upon the application.
The aperture support wire comes through the side wall 5/16 (0.3125 converted) from the mouth end.

- The standard straight bell is supplied with the maximum 1.6 inches length of 3/16 OD brass tubing.
Assembled
The aperture gap is defaulted to .093 inch and can be shortened by the purchaser.
Tested
The unit is tested to ensure basic function before leaving our environment.
